Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Monzurul Islam passed the order after police produced Selim before the court and sought a seven-day remand for interrogation.
According to the case statement, a team of Rab-2 conducted a raid and arrested Selim while he was trying to flee from Sector-7, Block-5 of Geneva Camp under Mohammadpur Police Station following a tip-off on 20 August.
Arms and drugs, including a 7.65mm foreign-made pistol, two rounds of bullets, two magazines and 110 grams of alleged heroin, along with a mobile phone, were recovered from him. Selim could not produce any valid documents or a licence for the firearm, police said.
