BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince said on Sunday that the opposition’s threat to launch one-point movement in December alongside ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s threat to return to the country reflects the past historical bond between the two sides.
Prince made the remark while speaking at a discussion meeting after inaugurating a project to save riverbank taken up by the Water Development Board in Mymensingh’s Haluaghat.
Prince said, “While the BNP government is engaged in public welfare activities, the opposition is sadly creating public nuisance. They have taken an anti-people stance by threatening the six-month old government with a one-point movement.”
Prince added, “The opposition’s threat to bring down the government in December is a display of conspiracy and hidden ploy. They should remember that BNP has not forgotten the streets.”
Other senior BNP leaders were present during the meeting.
