The France-Bangladesh Press Club organized its annual “Family Day” on September 14 at Lacourneuve Park, near Paris, in a festive atmosphere.

The day-long event featured various sports, fun activities and competitions for Bangladeshi women and children, along with a family lunch. Bangladeshi expatriates from different professions joined the gathering with their families.

The closing session included a discussion and prize-giving ceremony, chaired by Press Club President Ferdous Karim Akhanji. Tania Tanu, a Bangladeshi-origin councillor of Garges-lès-Gonesse Municipality, attended as the chief guest.

Speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening harmony, friendship and family bonds within the Bangladeshi community abroad. Prizes were later distributed among the winners of various competitions.

Leaders of social and cultural organizations and prominent members of the Bangladeshi community in France were also present. Youth Bangla Television served as the media sponsor of the event.
