East West University student found dead on campus

In a tragic incident, the body of Mushfiquzzaman, a student of the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at East West University, was found on the university campus in Badda, Dhaka.

University authorities discovered the body around 3:30 pm on Thursday and immediately informed the police. Sohel Rana, in charge of the police outpost adjacent to the campus, arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to the hospital for an initial post-mortem examination.

Sohel Rana, in charge of the police outpost, said a body was recovered from the campus area, but the cause of death could not yet be confirmed. The body has been sent to the morgue for a post-mortem, and necessary investigations are ongoing to determine how he died, the statement added.

Mushfiquzzaman was originally from Tongibari in Munshiganj. His father is BM Mokhlesuzzaman. He had been residing in the Khilgaon area of Dhaka.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
