Ambassador of Spain to Bangladesh Gabriel María Sistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru met with National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener and Opposition Chief Whip Md Nahid Islam at the party’s central office in Banglamotor, Dhaka, on Tuesday.

Also present at the meeting were NCP spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, International Affairs Cell In-Charge Alauddin Mohammad, Joint Secretary SM Saif Mustafiz, and Central Committee member Ashrefa Khatun.

The discussions focused on Bangladesh’s post-election political landscape, progress on constitutional reforms, key reforms in the economy and judiciary, and issues of mutual interest relating to Bangladesh-Spain relations.

Both sides also exchanged views on Bangladesh’s economic outlook and explored opportunities to deepen economic cooperation and expand bilateral partnerships between the two countries.
