Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Defence Adviser Brig Gen (retd) AKM Shamsul Islam at the Armed Forces Division (AFD) in Dhaka Cantonment.
The high commissioner led a three-member delegation during the meeting, according to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the meeting, the two sides discussed existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan and exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest.
They particularly focused on enhancing military-to-military cooperation, sharing professional experiences and expanding training-related activities between the two countries.
Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening defence cooperation and expressed optimism that the meeting would contribute to further consolidating and expanding the friendly relations and defence collaboration between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
