Man Arrested Within 24 Hours for Stabbing Worshipper to Death in Nabiganj Mosque

HABIGANJ: RAB-9 has arrested the suspect behind the stabbing death of worshipper Imrul Mia inside a mosque in Nabiganj, Habiganj, within 24 hours of the incident.

On Saturday morning (November 8), a team from RAB-9, CPC-3, Shayestaganj Camp, acting on a tip-off, apprehended Rosel Mia from the Baghasura Bazar area of Madhabpur Upazila.

According to RAB, the deceased, Imrul Mia, was the main accused in the murder case of Jabed Mia. Recently released on bail, Rosel Mia allegedly carried out the stabbing as an act of revenge after Friday prayers inside the mosque.

RAB Media Officer, Additional Superintendent of Police K. M. Shahidul Islam Sohag, stated that the arrested suspect has been handed over to the Nabiganj police station. RAB’s operations continue to maintain law and order in the area.
