Colorful Celebration in Tongi Marking the Birthday of ATM Rakibul Bassar, Editor and Publisher of National Daily Motprokash

A vibrant and exceptional celebration was held in Tongi to mark the birthday of ATM Rakibul Bassar, the Editor and Publisher of the national daily Motprokash, published from Dhaka.

On Wednesday (27 November 2025) afternoon, leaders of the Tongi Bondhu Samaj Kalyan Sangstha, local dignitaries, and working journalists cut a cake at the organization’s central office to celebrate his birthday. The event began with a special discussion highlighting ATM Rakibul Bassar’s journalism career, integrity, dedication, and significant contribution to the media industry.

Speakers stated that ATM Rakibul Bassar is a shining name in Bangladesh’s media landscape for his sense of responsibility, reliability, and unwavering commitment to truth. They added that he has always prioritized objective journalism and has become an inspiration for young journalists. Under his leadership, Motprokash has consistently upheld public-interest reporting, earning strong trust among readers.

The event also emphasized his courageous and principled stance, anti-corruption reporting, reader-friendly presentation, and the newspaper’s overall progress. The speakers wished him good health, long life, and continued success.

The program was presided over by Md. Nuruzzaman Sheikh, Gazipur Metropolitan Correspondent of Motprokash. He said, “ATM Rakibul Bassar is not just an editor—he is a guardian of the journalism community. His birthday is a day of pride for us.”

The celebration concluded with cake-cutting, prayers, and supplications seeking blessings for ATM Rakibul Bassar’s well-being and prosperity.
