
Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia, Konstantin Kosachev, have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and Russia.
The commitment came during a meeting between the two leaders in Moscow on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
They also underscored the importance of maintaining close engagement to advance the long-standing partnership between the two friendly countries.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir was present at the meeting.
Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman is currently on a three-day official visit to Russia at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
During the visit, the foreign minister is holding meetings with senior Russian officials to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
