The Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata has opened a round-the-clock helpline in connection with the fire incident in the New Market area of Kolkata.
The helpline has been set up to provide emergency services to Bangladeshi citizens and facilitate communication with the families in Bangladesh of those injured or killed in the accident.
In a notice on Wednesday, the Deputy High Commission has asked those concerned to contact Md Omar Faruk Akand, second secretary (political) at the mission, via mobile phone at +91 8274821352 or WhatsApp at +8801717291266 and +919903426119.
Five Bangladeshi nationals were among nine people killed in the devastating fire that broke out at a hotel in Kolkata, West Bengal, early Wednesday.
