A special meeting with senior government officials and advisers began in Dhaka on Monday to mark the 180th day, or six months, of the BNP-led government in office.
Organised by the Prime Minister’s Press Wing, the meeting began at 11am at the Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon.
Advisers and ministers in charge of key ministries, along with senior officials of the Prime Minister’s Office, are attending the meeting.
Those present include Prime Minister’s Political Adviser and Agriculture Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan, Prime Minister’s Political Adviser and Industries Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Public Administration Adviser Ismail Zabihullah, Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon and State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yaser Khan Chowdhury.
Prime Minister’s Adviser and spokesperson Mahdi Amin, Adviser for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Zahid Ur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health SM Ziauddin Haider, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Saleh Shibli, SDG Chief Coordinator Prof SM Abdul Awal and Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon are also scheduled to attend.
Members of the Prime Minister’s Press Wing are also expected to participate in the meeting.
The session is being held as the BNP government completes six months in office, providing an opportunity to discuss its performance, key initiatives and priorities during its first 180 days.
