Flights from Bangladesh to Riyadh have been cancelled following the series of Iran-backed Houthi militant attacks on King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) said a total of five flights were cancelled between Saturday and Sunday morning due to the Houthi attacks.
The cancelled flights were operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines, Saudia and Riyadh Air.
Meanwhile, a US-Bangla Airlines flight that departed Dhaka for Riyadh on Saturday was diverted to Muscat International Airport in Oman due to the situation at the Riyadh airport. The aircraft later returned to Dhaka.
At least 12 people were killed and 309 others injured in a Houthi missile attack on King Khalid International Airport around midnight on Saturday.
The casualties reportedly include nationals of Bangladesh, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Sudan, Syria and the United States.
All operations at King Khalid International Airport have been suspended following the attack.
