US Embassy warns visa holders against misuse, overstaying

The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned US visa holders that misusing their visas or staying beyond the authorised period could result in a permanent ban on future travel.

The embassy issued the warning in a visa-related message on social media on Saturday, 3 October.

It advised travellers to follow the conditions stated on their visas and leave the country within the permitted period.

The embassy said violating visa rules could create complications in obtaining a new visa in the future or entering the country concerned.

“Using your visa correctly is your responsibility,” the embassy said.

It also warned that visa misuse or overstaying the authorised period could lead to a permanent ban on future travel.
