Iran has executed a man accused of providing information about Iranian missile sites to Israeli intelligence, the country’s judiciary announced on Saturday.
The death penalty was carried out against Hossein Pedaran, who had allegedly provided Israel’s Mossad with information about missile sites in Isfahan province in central Iran, judicial authorities said.
The authorities did not disclose when Pedaran was arrested or when he was tried and convicted.
The execution comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, with Tehran continuing to take legal action against people it accuses of spying for Israel.
