Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban on Tuesday (8 September).
During the meeting, the High Commissioner conveyed warm greetings to the President and wished him success in his continued service to the people of Bangladesh.
The discussion highlighted the deep-rooted ties between India and Bangladesh, built on shared history, close cultural links and strong people-to-people relations.
Both sides emphasised the importance of further strengthening the bilateral partnership for the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two sovereign countries.
