Chhatra Dal (JCD) president Rakibul Islam Rakib has strongly condemned and protested the reported attack on Dhallywood actress Azmeri Haque Badhan in Venice, Italy.

Rakib expressed the protest in a post on his verified Facebook page, where he wrote, “I strongly condemn and protest the attack on popular actress Azmeri Haque Badhan by the banned terrorist organisations Chhatra League and Jubo League in Venice, Italy.” on Tuesday (8 September) night.

He said the “cowardly terrorist attack on a woman and July uprising fighter after finding her alone on foreign soil showed that activists of banned Chhatra League and Jubo League had not the slightest remorse.”

There would be no sympathy for such terrorists and vowed that they would be dealt with strictly and that justice would be ensured for the July massacre, he added.

Earlier on Monday (September 7) night, Badhan accused Awami League activists of attacking her in a video message posted on her verified Facebook account.
