The government on Thursday transferred six police officers of the rank of additional inspector general (Addl-IG) and five deputy inspectors general (DIG) to new postings.
The transfer orders will take immediate effect, said a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
According to the notification, Md Sayedur Rahman, Director (DIG) of the Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh, who was recently promoted to Addl-IG, has been posted to Police Headquarters.
Md Mainul Hasan, Addl-IG (current charge) of Tourist Police, has been posted as Principal (Addl-IG) of Bangladesh Police Academy, Sardah, Rajshahi.
The notification said Md Iqbal Hossain, DIG of Dhaka Range, who was promoted to Addl-IG, has been posted to Police Headquarters.
Md Kamrul Ahsan, DIG of Police Headquarters, who was promoted to Addl-IG, has been posted to Special Branch (SB).
Sardar Nurul Amin, Addl-IG of SB, has been transferred to Police Headquarters, while GM Azizur Rahman, Principal (Addl-IG) of Bangladesh Police Academy, Sardah, Rajshahi, has been posted to Tourist Police.
In another notification, DIG of Police Headquarters Md Rezaul Karim has been transferred to Khulna Range as DIG.
DIG of Khulna Range Md Mostafizur Rahman has been transferred to Dhaka Range as DIG.
DIG of the Anti-Terrorism Unit Mohammad Muslim has been transferred to the Central Police Hospital, Rajarbagh, as Director (DIG).
DIG of SB, Dhaka, Mir Ashraf Ali, has been transferred to Railway Police as DIG, while DIG of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Siddiqui Tanzilur Rahman has been transferred to SB, Dhaka, as DIG.
