The government has appointed journalist Ehsan Mahmud as Director General of the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification today announcing his appointment under the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum Act, 2026, on a contractual basis for a period of one year from the date of his joining.
According to the notification, his appointment is subject to the condition that he relinquishes his association with all government, semi-government and private organisations, as well as other organisations, businesses and professions.
