Pakistan thwarts attempted Afghan aggression at border

An attempted Afghan aggression in the Gulistan sector of the Pakistan-Afghan border was thwarted and several Afghan members of the Taliban were killed, Pakistani security sources said on Friday.

An intermittent exchange of fire between security forces and the Afghan Taliban is ongoing, and border security forces remain alert in the area, the sources told Reuters.
