The Dhaka Interschool Champions League (DICL) 2026 is set for a star-studded finale on Monday as Argentine football legend Claudio Caniggia is scheduled to attend the championship decider as the Guest of Honor.

The grand finale, organised jointly by Sportamagica and Fortis FC, will see Bangladesh International Tutorial (BIT) take on Noubahini College, Dhaka, at the Fortis Football Academy from 3:15pm – 4:00pm.

The tournament is featuring 36 school teams since its launch on 31 July, with the organisers aiming to promote youth football, strengthen grassroots development and create more opportunities for young players.

Caniggia, a 1990 FIFA World Cup finalist with Argentina, will make a brief, courtesy and non-commercial appearance to inspire the participating school footballers.

During his visit, the former Argentine forward is also expected to tour the Fortis Football Academy and view its youth development facilities, while discussing potential future associations.
