Lionel Messi has unveiled a special commemorative jersey ahead of what will be his final appearance for Argentina, adding another emotional chapter to a remarkable international career.

The 39-year-old will play one last match for the world champions when Argentina face Benin at Buenos Aires’ Monumental Stadium on 6 October. The match is being organised as a farewell tribute to the captain who led his country to World Cup, Copa America and Finalissima glory.

Messi revealed the special jersey on Monday. The shirt carries unique details celebrating his journey with the national team and has been designed as a tribute to one of the greatest players in football history.
