President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election and assumption of office as President of Bangladesh.
In a congratulatory message, the UAE President extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, wishing him good health and happiness, and the Government and people of Bangladesh continued progress and prosperity.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also sent separate congratulatory messages to President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on the occasion of his election and swearing-in.
The UAE looks forward to working closely with the new leadership of Bangladesh to further strengthen the longstanding relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, reads a press release of the UAE Embassy Dhaka on Thursday.
