Qatar Amir congratulates Mirza Fakhrul on becoming President

Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his swearing-in as the President of Bangladesh.

In a congratulatory message to President Mirza Fakhrul, the Qatari Amir wished him success in discharging his responsibilities as head of state.

Sheikh Tamim also expressed hope that Bangladesh-Qatar relations would continue to strengthen and expand in the coming days.

Mirza Fakhrul was elected as the 23rd President of Bangladesh on 20 August and took the oath of office on Friday.
