Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely across all eight divisions of the country, including the capital Dhaka, with moderate to heavy rainfall possible in some areas, according to a weather forecast.
The forecast, issued for the six hours from 7am on Friday (28 August), said that rain or thundershowers may occur in different parts of the country.
Drizzle was also reported in the capital from early Friday morning.
Winds may blow from the south or south-west at speeds of 8 to 12Km/h, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
At 6am, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.9 degrees Celsius, with relative humidity standing at 90%.
The day’s minimum temperature was recorded at 28.7 degrees Celsius, while Thursday’s maximum temperature stood at 35 degrees Celsius.
Only a small amount of rainfall was recorded in the capital during the previous 24 hours.
