Shahabuddin set to leave Bangabhaban, preparations completed

Preparations have been completed for former President Mohammed Shahabuddin to vacate Bangabhaban following his resignation.

He is expected to leave the presidential residence shortly for his private home in the capital’s Gulshan area.

Shahabuddin submitted his resignation letter to the Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad on 24 July, citing serious health complications.

After leaving Bangabhaban, he will move to his private residence, Green Villa, located on Road No. 123 in Gulshan-1, Dhaka.

Following his resignation, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has assumed the responsibilities of acting president in accordance with Article 54 of the Constitution.
