Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister and President-elect of the 81st United Nations General Assembly, Khalilur Rehman, on the sidelines of the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting in Manila.
According to Pakistan TV, a Pakistani English-language international news channel, on Wednesday, the two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
During the meeting, they welcomed the growing people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and noted the improvement in connectivity, particularly through the resumption of direct flights.
The two foreign ministers also agreed to sustain the positive momentum in bilateral engagement and continue efforts to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting in the Philippine capital, where regional leaders are discussing key political, security and economic issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region.
