Four killed in bus-jeep collision in Cox’s Bazar

Four people were killed and six others injured when a bus collided head-on with a jeep on the Cox’s Bazar-Chattogram highway in Chakaria upazila on Thursday.

The accident occurred in the Khutakhali area around noon when a Dhaka-bound bus of Lal Sabuj Paribahan collided with the jeep, said SI Shamsuzzaman of Malumghat Highway Police Station.

One person died on the spot, while three others died on the way to hospital, he said.

The identities of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.

Police seized both vehicles involved in the accident and were taking further legal action, the police officer said.
