Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman issued the order after police sought a seven-day remand for the accused, State Prosecutor Advocate Md Harun-or-Rashid confirmed.

According to the case statement, on 22 March 2025, the arrested accused and 30–35 unidentified persons gathered near Jabbar Tower under Gulshan Police Station and chanted anti-state slogans under the banner of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League with the intent to disrupt public safety and carry out subversive activities against the state.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused has been working to destabilise the law and order situation across Bangladesh by uniting Awami League members and banned Chhatra League activists and financing them.
