Bangladesh and Spain have discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, renewable energy, migration and several other priority sectors during a high-level meeting in Madrid.

According to a statement posted on Wednesday by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Madrid, Ambassador Masudur Rahman met Diego Martínez Belío, Secretary of State for Foreign and Global Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain, at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the bilateral talks, the two sides explored ways to deepen collaboration in areas including bilateral trade, investment, food security, renewable energy, technology transfer, migration and infrastructure development for the mutual benefit of both countries.

The discussions reflected the shared commitment of Bangladesh and Spain to expanding economic engagement and strengthening cooperation across a broad range of sectors.

The Bangladesh ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister Deen Muhammad Imadul Hoque and Second Secretary Mohammad Irfan Chowdhury during the meeting.

The talks form part of ongoing efforts to further enhance Bangladesh-Spain relations and promote closer cooperation in trade, investment and sustainable development.
