Siddhirganj, Narayanganj | Wednesday night:
Unidentified miscreants set fire to a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of the Department of Youth Development office in Jalkuri area of Siddhirganj on Wednesday night.

According to witnesses, two motorbike riders stopped near the vehicle, doused it in flames, and fled immediately. Locals suspect that the attackers may be affiliated with the banned Awami League or its front organisations.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime), Tarek Al Mehdi, said the perpetrators posed as passengers before setting the CNG ablaze and escaping.

Police and fire service personnel rushed to the scene and successfully brought the fire under control. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

Authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the arsonists.
