
ATM Rakibul Bassar has taken a significant step into international cricket coaching by joining a Paris-based cricket club in France as an Associate Trainer. Shortly after his appointment, he was entrusted with the responsibility of coaching the club’s Under-15 cricket team—an important milestone that marks the beginning of his journey in international-level coaching.
Originally from the Rangpur district of Bangladesh, ATM Rakibul Bassar grew up deeply connected to the game of cricket. He was a regular participant in school-level cricket and also played First Division cricket in Rangpur, gaining valuable competitive exposure from an early age.
To strengthen his professional foundation in coaching, he has completed multiple cricket coaching courses under the Australian Cricket Board framework. Most recently, he successfully completed a Junior Umpiring Course, highlighting his well-rounded understanding of the game from both coaching and officiating perspectives.
Beyond cricket, journalism has been his primary profession for many years. He has worked with several leading media outlets in Bangladesh and is currently the Editor and Publisher of the Dhaka-based national daily Dainik Mot Prokash. In addition, he serves as the Editor of the English-language newspaper The Bangla Sun and holds the role of Business Development Advisor and Online Editor at Radio Dhwani 91.2 FM, Bangladesh’s only news-based FM radio station.
By combining his extensive experience in journalism with his growing qualifications in cricket coaching, ATM Rakibul Bassar has chosen to pursue coaching as a long-term professional path. Through continuous learning and international exposure, he aims to make meaningful and lasting contributions to the global cricketing arena.
