Dhaka, Nov 5:    A senior army official expressed optimism that the upcoming general elections will enhance the country’s stability and improve law and order.

Speaking at a press briefing at Dhaka Cantonment on Wednesday, Lt General Md Mainur Rahman, General Officer Commanding of Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC), emphasized:

“The army, like the general public, also wants free and fair elections to be held in accordance with the government’s roadmap.”

The statement reflects the armed forces’ support for a smooth electoral process and underscores their interest in maintaining national stability during the election period.
